Description
Summary
Set of 6, 1960's soup bowls and plates by James Kent “Manhattan” Turquoise bowls with complimentary white, black, yellow & turquoise patterned plates.
English made, from Staffordshire.
These are true mid-century classic design, beautiful colours, no fading and all are in really good condition. There is minor wear to the underside of a couple of the plates and a couple of very tiny yellow spots on one of the plates (I think this was a manufacturing error)
The bowls are a bright turquoise colour and the plates have a pattern of black, yellow and blue on a white background. The pattern is a typical 50s or 60s abstraction of towers, indicating the city of Manhattan.
These are in very good condition.
Approximate measurements:
Bowls:
Handle to handle: 19cm wide
Bowl part: 13 x 11cm wide
Plates: 17 x 15 cm
